The megahit song “Believe” by Cher turns 25 this year. When Harry Smith of TODAY asked the icon herself how amazing it is that the song has reached the historic anniversary, she found it difficult to accept.

“Alright, it’s not that great. It pisses me off, like, really pisses me off “Believe” was a hit song that remained an anthem for years to come, spending four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning Cher her only Grammy Award for best dance recording. Along with the album of the year nomination for “Believe,” which has been reissued in a deluxe edition in celebration of its 25th anniversary, the song was also nominated for record of the year.

Cher, who is 77 years old, finds it difficult to accept the notion that so much time has gone.

“So you and age aren’t buddies?” Harry enquired.

Not at all. It didn’t bother my mother. However, I do. I detest it,” she answered. December 2022 saw the 96-year-old singer’s mother, Georgia Holt, pass away.

And Cher made the ideal comeback when Harry disclosed that he found it difficult to turn 70.

“I laughed and said, ‘I’d give anything to be 70 again.

Cher has experienced more than her fair share of success and tragedy, making her one of the most well-known and adored performers of her (or any other) generation. She intends to include this narrative in the memoir she is penning.

Thus, in all honesty, it would have to be an encyclopedia.

Cher is far from finished, despite her many accomplishments, which include Grammy, Oscar, and Emmy wins.”Christmas,” her debut Christmas album, is currently available. In addition, she will appear in a special hosted by Kelly Clarkson called “Christmas in Rockefeller Center,” which will be broadcast on NBC on November 29 and streamed on Peacock. The program also features performances by Chloe Bailey, Adam Blackstone, David Foster, Liz Gillies, Darlene Love, Seth MacFarlane, Barry Manilow, Katharine McPhee, Keke Palmer, Carly Pearce, and Manuel Turizo.

The moment is a little scary, even for someone as experienced as Cher.

It’s a little frightening, she admitted.
